We’ve all seen or heard this Alert and it’s only possible to “opt out” if you don’t watch cable or listen to the radio.WEA is the Wireless Emergency Alerts. This alert appears on any device connected to a cellular network. This is the alert that is getting people needlessly worked up. WEA messages may cover three different categories, Amber alerts, dangerous weather alerts, and presidential emergency alerts. The first two you can opt out, the third type you cannot.So that covers the what, now time for the why.EAS came to be as part of the War Powers Act provision of the Communication Act of 1934, which provides for Presidential access to commercial communications during “a state of public peril or disaster or other national emergency.”WEA is part of the Warning, Alert, and Response Network act of 2006. It provides that subscribers may opt out of any wireless alerts “other than an alert issued by the president”.So the short answer to why can FEMA contact you in case of a national emergency is because your duly elected Officials in DC passed these acts. You can blame them, they carry a portion of it.I’m a little sketchy on the how, but I will give a brief description.In 2009 DHS and the FCC signNowed an agreement with the two main public organizations that oversee the telecommunications industry. This agreement detailed how these alerts would be implemented.The major cellular carriers, T-Mobile, Verizon, AT&T, and Sprint, all volunteered to abide by the agreement.So if you want to blame someone for FEMA being able to notify you of a national emergency look to Congress and your cellular provider.Oh one last thing, I was wrong earlier. if you simply must opt out you can. Just find a provider that doesn’t use any of the above cell networks and hasn’t agreed to provide these life saving alerts or use a phone built prior to 2006.Obligatory tag line. I was selected for a summer internship 2016.I tried to be very open while filling the preference form: I choose many products as my favorite products and I said I'm open about the team I want to join.I even was very open in the  location and start date to get host matching interviews (I negotiated the start date in the interview until both me and my host were happy.) Prepare well your resume.You are very likely not going to get algorithm/data structure questions like in the first round. It's going to be just some friendly chat if you are lucky. If your potential team is working on something like machine learning, expect that  they are going to ask you questions about machine learning, courses related to machine learning you have and relevant experience (projects, internship). Of course you have to study that before the interview. Take as long time as you need if you feel rusty. It takes some time to get ready for the host matching (it's less than the technical interview)  but it's worth it of course.

Just register on the admission portal and during registration you will get an option for the entrance based course. Just register there. There is no separate form for DU CIC.
