Just a couple:1) Unless your car needs higher octane, don't waste your money on premium or plus grades of gasoline (petrol in some places). It offers no improvement in performance or mileage, and may actually reduce your fuel efficiency. Gasoline is mainly* made of 2 components: octane and heptane. Octane is less explosive than heptane. Heptane is less stable than octane. Higher octane = less heptane = less explosive. High-compression, high performance engines require higher octane to prevent the fuel from spontaneously combusting during the compression stroke resulting in ping or knock that can damage your engine. Most cars that require high-octane fuel are labeled as such by the fuel cap and/or on the instrument cluster. Use the lowest octane rating recommended by the manufacturer. Anything more just benefits the oil companies and takes money out of your pocket (pet peeve). Note that small engines such as lawn mowers and leaf blowers may benefit from higher octane fuel - it's something to do with these engines running hotter but I haven't researched this. I do use 91 octane for my lawn and garden engines. On a personal note, it irks me when my 20-something sons "borrow" my lawn mower gas because they've been negligent in getting their cars to the gas station. But don't get me started... * some other additives are included to supposedly keep engine components (fuel injectors and valves) clean and to increase octane ratings. Alcohol (ethanol/methanol), for instance has an octane rating of something like 127, so when fuel suppliers add it to the fuel mix, it reduces the amount of the octane component needed to get a specific octane rating. The thing about alcohol is that you need around twice as much of it to produce the same amount of energy as gasoline, so fuel economy (miles per gallon) can be reduced when alcohol is blended in. Methanol is great for racing engines because aside from 127 or 129 octane rating (no octane in it, just a rating expressing the ability to resist explosiveness when compressed) the higher amount of fuel passing through the engine actually helps cool the engine. Since you need more of it, you're carrying more fuel weight, which can be a drag (pun intended). On the positive  side for alcohol, it attaches itself to water quite easily, so any moisture in your fuel system gets scavenged by the alcohol and burned off in the engine, unnoticed. 2) If possible, use nitrogen in your tires instead of regular air. Some people have easy access to nitrogen - welders and tradespeople, as well as those in the motorsports industry. Nitrogen, as sold in compressed format, contains almost no moisture. Moisture naturally occurring in air as humidity causes most of the expansion and contraction with temperature changes, both from air temperature changes and with the heat buildup that occurs from normal friction from contact with the road. Using nitrogen in your tires can lessen the need to adjust your tire pressures as the seasons change.Edit: Adding some additional info that I had omitted to keep a long reply less long. You can’t run 100% methanol or ethanol in your average gasoline-powered vehicle without some modifications to the fuel system. For instance, a car may need larger injectors, specialized fittings that won’t corrode or degrade under constant exposure to alcohol, and changes to the computer that compensate for the different properties of alcohol as compared to the current gasoline/alcohol blend that’s dispensed at most US fuel stations. In the United States it is very easy to change your name. You go to the local courthouse and request a change of name form. You fill it out, with the most important question on the form being, 'Why do you want to change your name?. You give the completed paper and money to the receptionist and receive a court date in exchange. You appear before the judge and explain why you want to change your name. They give you the documents to use to show every business, etc and your name is officially changed. At least, that is what I did seven years ago when I changed mine.
