They also showed concern for your health and love for your family.Promises marriage as soon as he/she gets to state for leave that they asked you to pay for.They Requests money (wire transfers) and Amazon, iTune ,Verizon, etc gift cards, for medicine, religious practices, and leaves to come home, internet access, complete job assignments, help sick friend, get him out of trouble, or anything that sounds fishy.The military does provide all the soldier needs including food medical Care and transportation for leave. Trust me, I lived it, you are probably being scammed. I am just trying to show you examples that you are most likely being connned.Below is an email response I received after I sent an inquiry to the US government when I discovered I was scammed. I was selected for a summer internship 2016.I tried to be very open while filling the preference form: I choose many products as my favorite products and I said I'm open about the team I want to join.I even was very open in the  location and start date to get host matching interviews (I negotiated the start date in the interview until both me and my host were happy.) You could ask your recruiter to review your form (there are very cool and could help you a lot since they have a bigger experience).Do a search on the potential team.Before the interviews,  try to find smart question that you are going to ask for the potential host (do a search on the team  to find nice and deep questions to impress your host). Prepare well your resume.You are very likely not going to get algorithm/data structure questions like in the first round. It's going to be just some friendly chat if you are lucky. If your potential team is working on something like machine learning, expect that  they are going to ask you questions about machine learning, courses related to machine learning you have and relevant experience (projects, internship). Of course you have to study that before the interview. Take as long time as you need if you feel rusty. It takes some time to get ready for the host matching (it's less than the technical interview)  but it's worth it of course.

A2AThe ELD in and of itself is fine. Most of my time on the road I've had an ELD of one sort or another.The problems didn't kick in until the government got involved. It was compounded with the mandate.Prior to that I could do with an ELD the same as I could a paper log. I could edit them and shave minutes off so long as the GPS tag was the same. I could move the truck short distances without being put on duty. Didn't have to take into consideration if the engine was running or not (turning the engine off can kick you out of certain duty states).For example, when I arrive at a Shipper/Receiver I switch log over to yard move, this takes you from the drive line to on duty and keeps you on duty while the truck moves in a client's yard, saving your drive line for actual highway usage.Problem is most of these companies that are making the ELD software have it setup that turning the engine off takes you out of yard move (or personal conveyance if your using that). A lot of companies have policies in place that require you to shut the engine off when your at the guard shack checking in.So you pull in and go to YM and drive around the facility till you get to their guard shack. They have you shut the engine off, you check in and then start it back up and go on your way to the S&R office not realizing your ELD took you out of YM and put you on the drive line burning your clock. Once it's on the drive line we can't correct it, only the company can. So now your stuck losing an hour of your life or more dealing with Safety and/or IT to get a correction made. Which legally has to be logged as on duty time btw so your losing time you could be doing your job just dealing with stupid issues caused by lack of understanding by a software programmer and a desk jockey who's never driven a truck.Another problem is GPS drift. When we do a 34 hour reset we can not move the truck unless using Personal Conveyance (PC).If you've ever turned on location finding on your phone and watched the blue dot on Google Maps move around then you've seen what I'm referring to as GPS drift. Well the GPS chips in some of the ELD's experience that drift as well and if your ideling your truck it thinks you've driven around and it will throw you on the drive line blowing your reset all to hell. Now you have another call to safety/IT to have it corrected.Then there's the connectivity issue. A lot of these ELD's are tied to a tablet or phone and use their Network. The ELD itself stores a history in it's memory but the finer details of duty status is stored on the tablet/phone. So if your in an area with poor cellular service and you switch from driving to yard move or PC it might not send the data properly because of poor coverage. So an hour later you might be going down the road and drive back into a service area and the tablet didn't store the duty status properly and calls to the ELD for a history and just reports what it recorded. Yet another call to have your logs corrected.Another issue that I'm encountering is changes to the rules since the mandate took over. I'm getting conflicting answers on what's allowed now in regard to duty status change.When I bump a dock I stay “On Duty” for 15 minutes then go “Off Duty” to stop the clock then jump in the bunk as per the old rules. I'm hearing from other drivers that this is no longer legal. The FMCSA website is vague about it so I'm left wondering if safety departments at various companies have made it a policy or if it is an actuall regulation change, which takes us to another problem with the mandate.Companies are allowed to set rules for their own ELD's so long as their not in violation of the regulations. So you'll have safety and compliance managers setting limitations on drivers that are legal but not what's in the rulebook and it causes violations in the system.To answer your question more directly, for me the ELD mandate has cut my earnings down by roughly one or two grand a week because I used to be able to shave 3 or 4 hours a week off the clock. Doesn't seem like much but it makes a difference when dealing with shippers who are inflexible with their pick up times.
