I understand you buddy. I understand you completely. I am in the exact same position as you. So let me tell you what i feel about the question and the answers written here. And if you like it give me an upvote ;)After reading this question i thought i am a patient of split personality and i only wrote this question in another of my avatar. So my brother from another mother i feel totally connected to you after reading this question. And about all the answers written here, i think everyone is correct here in their own way but they probably have a different kind of personality and that is why they have written answers without understanding your emotions and therefore, none of the answers made sense to me personally (Well one of them partially did and that's why i upvoted it)I feel we are alike and therefore i will talk about myself here and you might feel connected too. From childhood, i have always lived in my fantasy land that i will/can do this i will/can do that but never actually did anything. When i hear about others all i think is i could have done that thing. And i again go into my fantasy world that i should have done something in my past which would have made a difference. I go into my serious mode. Do something good for 2 days and then come back to the same routine of doing anything. I know i have the potential but still i don't do anything. I get motivated every time i read a book, watch a movie or hear people's story. But result is still nothing. I used to think that there will come a turning point in my life and everything will change suddenly, i will have a successful startup of my own, will go for world tours, will become fit (btw i am fat). But no, nothing of that sort happened in the past 26 years and won't happen in the next 26. I realized that people who are at successful position did not signNowed there overnight, they worked really hard for it. Because, nothing comes to anyone easily. So, i started working on things. It is as simple as that. Just start working on whatever you want to do; your job, startup, getting fit, anything. NO MATTER HOW SLOWLY OR HOW LATE IT IS JUST START DOING THINGS. As there is no other way to it. Absolutely no other way. You know you have it in you. But do you think you will signNow at your success point without doing anything. No you won't. So just start doing. And don't do it for anybody else, JUST DO IT FOR THAT MAN IN THE MIRROR BECAUSE THAT MAN DESERVES IT. ALL THE BEST.Sorry for the long answer.

ask her again. Do you know why she wont take you? that can be helpful. time, money, or perhaps just very very uncomfortable with this? do you have anyone else to ask if she still doesnt respond? can you go to a school nurse and maybe she can talk to your mom? ok, another option, pretend you are sick somehow or need a dr check up and note for some school sport, running, whatevee, that she would take you to the dr for. Even though she may be in the appt room with you , you can also ask your dr for a few minutes alone with the nurse and dr. good luck! wishing you the best

12 years into this. I can answer to some extent.  Before you turn 30 get out of night shift. Seriously!. In the beginning it will be fun, night walks when taking breaks, having a little fun here and there etc., and slowly it turns into a nightmare literally. So to avoid health issues:1. Try and avoid carbonated drinks. Drink water only when you feel thirsty.2. Eat very light food. Don't eat anything oily. Home cooked food is your best bet. Stick to it if possible. 3. Darken your room and keep the environment silent as much as possible to help you sleep well.4. If possible try and get seven hours of continuous sleep. It will be difficult for the first few weeks.5. Don't attempt to keep any other work during the weekday.6. Your body will tell you which routine is good. You might want to sleep moment you get back home or you might stay awake till 11a.m. and then decide to sleep and wake an hour or two before the shift.7. Most important!- don't ever go to sleep on an empty stomach. Eat some food and then sleep.  All the best!. Edit 1: I got completely lost in the translation and forgot to mention about exercising. 8. Choose your timings wisely for exercising in the gym, for some it works after the shift and for some it works before. If the shift is constant for the full 1.5 years then great. Your body will adjust to the timing you choose, If the shift timings will keep changing then watch out. Try not to exercise too vigorously. My standard routine before I turned 30 was to go the gym after the shift. Exercise moderately, take a hot shower, eat my breakfast and then sleep for six to seven hours. I used to wake up fresh. Things changed after I turned 30, now it is more like go home, eat, and sleep. Wake up, work out a bit, take a shower, eat and go to office. Sometimes I wake up midway and have to eat something before I can sleep again. I cannot push my body to sleep beyond six hours. And yes, my shift keeps changing every two months. Edit 2: 9.  During the weekends it will become tempting to stay awake and assume "why waste the day!". Avoid that temptation. Get your sleep/rest. You will feel very energetic as the weekend kicks in but will have a very bad effect in the long run. The max you should push yourself during Saturday is till 1pm or 2pm. After that you will start feeling dizzy. Avoid this at all cost. It is not worth. For Monday make sure you have slept before going to office for at least 5 hours in case you have some outside work. Common things to watch out for during night shift. a. Irritability.b. Crankiness.c. Frustrationd. Less enthusiasm about a few things. You can deal with all of them. You will develop your own strategies to deal with all these. Sunday is the only day you can live like a human.

Wiki has a wonderful entry on this, the importance of “knowing yourself” is an *ancient realization* it must carry application and a broader truth for humanity: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kn...The sample of people who are fortunate - “to have time to themselves,” in a place conducive to thinking, to have the opportunity to learn about themselves – is rather small. Your personality will say whether I just described prison or heaven, like a Rite of Passage or camp, between lonely / bored and life-changing insight / discovery. You might ask yourself, where was authority when you discovered your last life-changing idea? Supposedly that is what a "gap year" is for, after high school. It is a highly impressionable time immediately after high school. So perhaps the “gap year” has become a wonderful “opportunity” to get to know yourself; that’s authority again, identifying opportunities. What, you don’t know what “knowing yourself”means? I know that! If your reasoning capabilities are not fully developed, and the prefrontal cortex of your brain is responsible for *planning, reasoning, and personality,* you do not really know what “knowing yourself” means, despite what you seem to think, smarty pants. 24 or 25 years of age and you’re supposedly ready to make decisions that will affect the rest of your life, not before https://www.goodtherapy.org/blog.... As they say in neuroscience, “Good luck with all that!”So be ready, before you’re 25 years of age, to consider the following possibility: “I am wrong.” If you have not made it past the quarter-of-a-century mark on this big blue marble, and the skinheads come rapping at your door, promising “identity, solidarity, and commitment,” first say you’ll think about it. Be wary of authority coopting your interest, steering you toward violence/death/evil, sifting you into bins, exploiting your ignorance.Kidding aside, if I’m a recruiter and you come to me, and I ask you what you’ve been up to, and you say “well, mainly playing Team Fortress 2,” but you forget to mention that in the course of playing TF2, you’re actually developing the game, coding different stuff, and sh**. Whose fault is that? That’s your fault because you’re failing to attribute your learning to your specific skill-set. What, are you immature? Or are you just non-social?So you haven’t taken a year off; you’ve just been experimenting, trying, checking out, investigating, researching what you’re interested in, or not. You have been developing your human capital by testing your individual preferences for things. You may or may not be more aware of yourself than a person who just finished Freshman year, and here’s the thing that no one tells you: it doesn’t matter! All the recruiters who imitate the social customs will hold it against you because they need *some excuse* not to hire you, and that *some excuse* is “you didn’t work recently.” Do you *really* want to work for a company that hires workers based on consistency? Yuck!News flash: more people have left the labor force in the last 10 years because they cannot find jobs, and what, you’re supposed to wear a big scarlet “A” on your lapel and defend your past behaviors to some person who has no need to know? Gimme a break. Say you can’t find a job.Since there are fewer workers in the Civilian Labor Force Participation Rate formula, the recruiter should be psyched to get an eager young person, and even though wages are supposed to be going up to attract workers they ain’t, so if business is not rewarding age, experience and output quality, then they have a chance to save money on labor, in short, this fatcat capitalist recruiter can get you for cheap! So there’s 2 reasons you should be employable. If not, shake the dust from your sandals and walk to the next interview because you probably did not want to work for a smug traditionalist anyway, right? But wait, there are dudes and dudettes who may be vying for the same position, who worked in the last year, and to this rocket scientist recruiter, who thinks our cosmology rests on an unbroken set of production circumstances, the continued formal output of the workplace, these d and ds are the bees knees, and they will be your competition, even though you would prefer it not like that. This is where creative personal evaluation comes in.As in, “I took a year off to code in ___” and name a language no one has ever heard of, like “Spanx.” Don’t lie, just be “creative” about your a) knowledge of Spanx b) your skills in coding Spanx algorithms and c) your abilities to bring Spanx to bear to change the outlook of the universe, or at least the rat-face of the suit that keeps looking down at his handheld while you hold forth explaining how valuable you can be to a company whose CEOs make 664 times what the average worker makes. Yeah, right.Do you help your mom at home? Do you wash dishes, clothes, take out the garbage, redd up your room, do grocery shopping, walk the pets, mend the siblings shifts, cut hair, change the oil? Do you paint and spackle? Chop firewood? Well then, say, “I took a year off to help my mom at home.” You’re not lying: you helped your mom at home. Or *are* you lying? If you did help your mom, you mom will certainly not mind you saying that you took a year off to help her, n’at. It might even tug at her heartstrings to hear that you sacrificed a whole year out of your busy-pre-frontal-cortex-schedule, and certainly the extra money you earn will help defray the costs of your regular visits to the Kwik-e-Mart.I could go on like this, but if there is anything I would really like to say, it is this: CHILL the **** out! Stop taking yourself so frickin’ seriously. You’re not saving lives. For one, you are supposed to be enjoying yourself. For two, as one of my coaches was fond of saying “there’s always someone badder than you.” Go outside and look at tress, for goodness sake! You are going to die, and what person on his deathbed says, “Geez, I wish I could have spent one more hour at the office.” Work at the office is going to give you .00000002 of your total experience.Do you want to know what hell is? Hell is someone expecting something from you. There are about 6.8 B people on earth. About 2.1 B have an income of effectively $0.0 when it comes to US dollars. They are not even measured, OK? when it comes to inequality in the world. That is, one-third of the planet does not even rate on USA standards. That’s how nutso we are about making money, the rat race. Repudiate it, I say, and learn about yourself. If it hurts no one, stop listening to what others think. (Unless it’s your mom, of course; she knows best.) Don’t listen to my advice if it isn’t relevant to you. Don’t imitate unless it can become uniquely yours. You do what you want. You follow your interests and they will lead you to some work, probably – you will eventually want to do what you like, and you will be the best at it because you like it.

Looks like I might be getting to this too late, but here is some helpful advice to start off with:1) Eat lots of calories per day
Many calories provide a constructive state. A good rule of thumb is to multiply your body weight by 25. Then you add that from 1000 to 1500 calories per day to up. For example, suppose you weigh 80 kilos. You do 80 x 25 and adds calories to 1000-1500 on. Then you come therefore + 2000 1000-1500 = 3000-3500 calories per day.

2) Eat lots of carbohydrates
Carbohydrates are needed for energy. Energy you need to train. Carbohydrates are stored as glycogen. The idea is to saturate glycogen levels so the body never has to speak to proteins for energy. The more carbohydrates are present in the body, the greater the chance that your body remains in an anabolic state. To achieve the highest possible glycogen you have 7-10 grams of carbohydrate per kilogram of body weight per day.

3) Eat plenty of protein
as you can not build muscle without an adequate supply of protein. Proteins consist of amino acids and amino acids are the building blocks of muscle. You have 3 grams of protein per kilogram of body weight per day. For example, suppose you weigh 80 kilos. You do 80 x 3. Then you have to ingest 240 grams of protein per day. The best way to do this is through the delivery of proteins into smaller meals throughout the day to divide in order to ensure better absorption and digestion. Briefly; eat plenty of protein and eat the good types such as beef, chicken, fish, and egg white.

4) Eat enough good fats.
A common mistake is that beginners do not eat enough good fats, yet fats are certainly important for growth. It is important to know that there is a direct link between fat and levels. A good source of fat is salmon which contains omega 3 fatty acids, essential fatty acids, flaxseed oil, and conjugated linoleic acid. Make sure you 1 gram of fat per kilogram of body weight per day receives.

5) Eat several meals daily. Since you'll be eating say 3,000 calories a day, do the best you can to divide into 6 meals a day. This seems like a lot, but it is not. Do the math. If you 3000 calories in 6 smaller meals distributed daily, every meal will consist of about 500 calories.

6. Drink plenty of water
Drinking enough water is very important. The body is 70% water and if you are dehydrated, your muscles have to suffer. Drink 2-4 liters of water per day. Make it a habit to have a bottle of water with you.

7. Use supplements
If you can you afford to use supplements, do it. Why? Because they work! Stick with the basics such as protein powders , creatine , Weightgainers , carbohydrates , and multivitamins . It comes down to is that these supplements, if you work. These tips are a great start for you. Follow this up with the information and video provided here: Part 2: How to Quickly Gain Muscle Mass

Firstly i’ll tell you there are no shortcuts to becoming a CCIE. To master all of the technologies in the CCIE DC you must have lots of experience working them. I would estimate the preparation for the lab should consist of 30% on the job experience, 60% focused practice and 10% reviewing config guides, best practice guides and other various sources. (Cisco Docs are the best since a lot of the DC specific technologies are so new, there’s not many traditional books that are out there that can help you, unlike something like OSPF that is over 20 years old). The methodology is a basic four step process as follows:Gain a basic understanding of the technologiesGain basic hands-on experience to reinforce and expand your understandingGain an expert level of understandingGain an expert level of hands-on experienceIf you can find a study partner or a study group, this will really help you.For knowing the technologies, i would recommend INE (Cisco 360 learning programs for CCIE’s is also beneficial)For hands on experience, various rack rentals are available and you should go for hardcore lab practice. You can attend a DC bootcamp a month prior to the exam. (I would recommend Khawar Butt for it)Best of luck.P.S: Ignore the people who say you cant do it by yourself. I have my cleared my CCIE without going to an institute. However, you need to stay focused for couple of years and have to schedule your life around the preparation. Hope it helped
