Some leads can range from a few dollars for a potential student that has not been as heavily qualified, and only answered a few questions, to $50 or more for students that have taken extensive time to fill out detailed responses on what type of education they are looking for, that have also been qualified financially. There are a fair amount of agencies out there that do lead generation for Higher Education Institutions, such as Underground Elephant, Hobsons, etc and they will set up hundreds if not thousands of landing pages and use paid advertising to drive a targeted set of potential students there to fill out the forms. Once they have done so, they are able to pass along these qualified leads to institutions who will pay them on a CPL basis. These higher education institutions also do their own advertising, but in the end just want to maximize on the amount of leads they are getting to maximize enrollments, and as a corollary, profits. Of course you have to study that before the interview. Take as long time as you need if you feel rusty.
