I will tell you what I did. I started out renting a house on 29 acres of land. At the time I was not looking to get into farming as I was cheffing at the time and figured I would stay in the restaurant biz. But I always loved to garden and by boyfriend (now husband) also loved to grow things so in the yard of the farm house (and the yard was over 2 acres) we put in a small garden that over produced and we wondered what to do with all the extra produce so I learned to can and freeze things that summer but we also thought, What if we grew a bigger garden and took it to the nearest farmers market and sold it.So the following year we put in our “huge” market garden. It was 25′ by 75′ and we thought it was gigantic. We put in tomatoes, beans, sweet corn (mistake), zucchinis, onions, peppers and several other things, found a farmers market about 20 minutes away and we were off to the races. The first year growing and selling was brutal. We had no idea what we were doing, we had bad equipment for farming and no set up for the farmers market (we did not even have a table to put our produce on, we were that green) and we did poorly as far as making money. but we made friends, learned a lot about selling at the farmers market and we were hooked. The next year we got a front tined Sears tiller and started tilling up the lawn and tripled the size of our market garden, renovated the big raspberry patch that was on the farm and bought some tables and an EZ UP shelter and went back to the same FM and did a lot better. i think the second year we made a couple thousand bucks and had returning customers (exceedingly important). We decided to become an organic farm and the other organic farm at the FM told us who to call to do that and we did. We also found out we had no clue what Organic farming was all about once we started our path to organic certification and we learned a lot.Over the next 12 years we increased the market garden from 1875 square feet to over 5 acres planted on about 11 acres of land. we left the original farmers market for bigger and better ones, created several farmers markets of my own, Created a CSA, sold to restaurants, sold to food co-ops and anything else to sell our crops. After 13 years on the rental farm we decided it was time to buy a farm and did 11 years ago. because I hate debt and we have a thriving farm business I was able to pay off the mortgage on the farm in under 5 years but that meant putting all money not needed to pay the basic bills and eat and run the biz went into the mortgage (always pay as much above the minimum payment as you can, even $10 extra a month will knock off 10 years from a 30 year note)so my advice is rent land until you have markets to sell your crops and a decent customer base.FYI most people do not get rich farming, though a lot of the bigger farms gross impressive amounts of money-$5,000,000+ annually but the farmers only nets $50K and often that is not enough money to raise a family on so someone has to work off farm to make ends meet. This is the reality on most farms, but if you can stay out of debt and live very frugally you can probably swing full time farming and a mortgage. I did so I know it is possible.Oh and if you have no farming experience I would strongly advise you go work on a farm for a few years and learn the ropes that way (it’s a lot quicker and cheaper)Good luck

I was selected for a summer internship 2016.I tried to be very open while filling the preference form: I choose many products as my favorite products and I said I'm open about the team I want to join.I even was very open in the  location and start date to get host matching interviews (I negotiated the start date in the interview until both me and my host were happy.) You could ask your recruiter to review your form (there are very cool and could help you a lot since they have a bigger experience).Do a search on the potential team. Before the interviews,  try to find smart question that you are going to ask for the potential host (do a search on the team  to find nice and deep questions to impress your host). Prepare well your resume. You are very likely not going to get algorithm/data structure questions like in the first round. It's going to be just some friendly chat if you are lucky. If your potential team is working on something like machine learning, expect that  they are going to ask you questions about machine learning, courses related to machine learning you have and relevant experience (projects, internship). Of course you have to study that before the interview. Take as long time as you need if you feel rusty. It takes some time to get ready for the host matching (it's less than the technical interview)  but it's worth it of course.

Just register on the admission portal and during registration you will get an option for the entrance based course. Just register there. There is no separate form for DU CIC.
