I don't see what is so unacceptable about that, frankly; nor do I particularly see what is so horrible about placing an elderly disabled individual in a setting where they can receive continuous and expert professional care if and when that is needed as part of their end-of-days medical team. If that’s what’s needed to support another human, a member of the community, why spare the expense? But I do see a lot that is unacceptable about judging other cultures or personal or familial priorities on the basis of one’s own limited experiences and apparently distorted perceptions.
