They also showed concern for your health and love for your family.Promises marriage as soon as he/she gets to state for leave that they asked you to pay for.They Requests money (wire transfers) and Amazon, iTune ,Verizon, etc gift cards, for medicine, religious practices, and leaves to come home, internet access, complete job assignments, help sick friend, get him out of trouble, or anything that sounds fishy.The military does provide all the soldier needs including food medical Care and transportation for leave. Trust me, I lived it, you are probably being scammed. I am just trying to show you examples that you are most likely being connned.Below is an email response I received after I sent an inquiry to the US government when I discovered I was scammed. This is a pretty standard procedure. It basically is a request for you to divulge your social security number so that a W-2 form can be issued to you at the end of the year. This information part of the information that will appear on an informational return submitted to the IRS, when your W-2 earnings are transmitted to them.That is the part that does make sense.The part that doesn’t make sense is why you were asked to fill out a W-9, yet are being paid with personal checks.If this is happening, in most cases, it would appear that he is paying “under the table.” I suspect no income taxes of any kind are being withheld.If I am correct, I would seriously think about leaving the company. This practice is illegal.Normally what happens is that a company paycheck is issued. State and federal income taxes are withheld from your gross pay and are forwarded on to local and federal government on your behalf.
