They'd even eventually cut back on the powerful navy they'd have, just because they have so little to protect.So bottom line - the US would lose everything.

Do you want to study a specific piece of marine biology that can only be found in the Pacific Ocean? Are you coming for your undergrad or graduate studies? What do you want to do when you’re not in school? Where do you want to intern or work when you’re not in school? We learned our lesson. We ended up staying at our house until it was finished. The more remote you are, the more chance there is of someone looking to steal from you. But rarely is there violence.Of course, in Honolulu there is more crime, but on the other islands, not so much.Due to the recent lava flows and loss of housing, I am expecting an uptick in property crimes for money reasons. I have lived in Hilo 3 years and have had no problems, but I also have dogs and a fenced in yard.
