That is ample time for a typical urban or suburban home in the USA. My favorite inspector uses a top to bottom/outside in approach. He first walks the roof and then the exterior. Then he comes inside and starts with the attic, and works his way down to the basement. When he issues his report it comes in two parts. One is key findings and action items and is typically 10 pages. This identifies items that may require action soon, if not immediately. Things such as missing shingles, water penetration, peeling paint, missing caulk etc. The full report often runs 40 or more pages and details other issues that should be noted but are not critical and includes tip about ongoing maintenance to help the prospective purchaser protect their investment. Keep in mind that all houses have some issues (even brand new homes). The purpose of the inspection is to help the buyer determine if the issues uncovered are ones they can live with or remedy and to help negotiate repairs and/or concessions in the price.
