I was selected for a summer internship 2016.I tried to be very open while filling the preference form: I choose many products as my favorite products and I said I'm open about the team I want to join.I even was very open in the  location and start date to get host matching interviews (I negotiated the start date in the interview until both me and my host were happy.) Prepare well your resume.You are very likely not going to get algorithm/data structure questions like in the first round. It's going to be just some friendly chat if you are lucky. If your potential team is working on something like machine learning, expect that  they are going to ask you questions about machine learning, courses related to machine learning you have and relevant experience (projects, internship). Of course you have to study that before the interview. Take as long time as you need if you feel rusty. It takes some time to get ready for the host matching (it's less than the technical interview)  but it's worth it of course.

Use those 2 as often as you can while working there. Keep a running record of the accomplishments you have while you are there and make sure you write them down with times and dates and projects and how long etc…. a little summary of each one. You cannot take any ideas with you as that would be illegal but when it comes time to get a job, you will have all of yours listed. Bam. Feel me!Next: Come with an open mind and open heart. Listen when it is time to listen and speak when you have something valuable to contribute… no one likes a know it all. Get plenty of sleep so you can shine every day. Arrive early. Only stay 15 minutes for your breaks. Only stay exactly the amount of time for your lunch time. Don’t eat at your desk. It is tacky. I don’t care if everyone is doing it. Eat at the lunch room or lunch table. Dress like everyone else is dressing sans jeans and t shirts and sneakers. Look, they would not have asked you if they did not like how you are and what you have to offer. Facebook is very, very, very picky.Remember what you learned in the sand box. Share.Get ready for being teased. You are low person on the totem pole so they are going to give you some harassment. Just be cute about it and say something like: “Come on guys. Cut it out. You could make me think you don’t like me.” Then laugh and walk away.
